Ladeway Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 29, 2026
Effective: August 29, 2026

Ladeway is a dispatch, invoicing and GPS tracking platform for trucking carriers, operated by Tributary & Co., LLC (“Ladeway”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It covers the ladeway.com website, the Ladeway web platform, and the Ladeway Driver mobile app. Questions go to hello@ladeway.com.

Who we work for, and whose data this is

Our customers are trucking carriers. When a carrier uses Ladeway to dispatch loads, track trucks and bill customers, the carrier is generally the party deciding what driver data is collected and why; Ladeway processes that data on the carrier's behalf to provide the service. If you are a driver, your relationship for most data questions runs through your carrier — usually your employer or the company you drive for — and this policy tells you exactly what passes through us along the way.

The website and web platform, briefly

If you fill in the contact form on ladeway.com, we receive what you typed — name, company, email, phone, fleet size and your message — and use it only to reply and follow up about the service. If your carrier gives you a login to the Ladeway web platform, we hold your account details (name, email) and the operational records your carrier keeps in the system: loads, stops, customers, invoices, drivers, trucks and devices. Those are your carrier's business records; we process them to run the service for your carrier.

The Ladeway Driver app, in detail

The driver app exists so a driver can run their loads and so their own dispatcher can see where the truck is. Here is everything it collects.

Location, only during a trip

While a trip is running, the app collects your device's precise GPS location, along with speed, heading, GPS accuracy, movement state (moving or stationary) and the device's battery level. Collection begins only when you start a trip in the app, and it stops when the trip ends or you sign out. It does not collect location when you are off duty, and it does not collect location when no trip is running.

Your account

Your name and email address. Your account is provisioned by your carrier; there is no self-service sign-up.

Proof of delivery

Content you deliberately capture in the app to document a delivery: photos, signatures, the signer's name and any notes you enter. These become part of the load's record for your carrier.

Device pairing

A pairing identifier (the setup code used to connect your device to your carrier's account), so the carrier knows which device reports for which driver and truck.

What the driver app does not do

Before any tracking starts, the app shows you a consent screen that says what is collected, when, who sees it and how long it is kept, and asks for your answer. If you decline, the app remains usable for your loads, stops and paperwork, with tracking turned off. While tracking is on, it is visibly indicated — the blue location indicator on iOS, a persistent notification on Android — and you can end the trip from any screen. You can withdraw your consent in the app at any time.

How long we keep data

Location data follows the schedule the app states on its consent screen: full-detail location is kept for 90 days; after that it is thinned to one location point every 5 minutes and kept for 13 months from when it was recorded; after 13 months it is deleted automatically.

Proof-of-delivery records and the business records of completed loads are retained as business records for your carrier, under its agreement with us. Account data is retained while the account is active.

Sharing

Driver location and trip data are shared with the driver's own carrier — that is the product. Beyond that, we disclose data only where the law requires it (for example, a valid subpoena or court order) or to protect the safety and rights of drivers, carriers or the public. We do not sell data and we do not share it for advertising.

Your rights and how to exercise them

If you are a driver, the fastest route for access, correction or deletion requests is through your carrier, since your carrier controls your account and directs the collection of your data. Accounts are created and deleted by the carrier. You can also contact us directly at hello@ladeway.com; we honor verified deletion requests, subject to legal retention obligations and our obligations to your carrier.

If you are a California resident, the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) extends privacy rights to employees and contractors, including drivers. That includes the right to know what personal information is collected about you, the right to access it, the right to correct it, and the right to request deletion. You can exercise these rights through your carrier or by writing to us at hello@ladeway.com. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CPRA, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Security

Children

Ladeway and the Ladeway Driver app are built for commercial drivers and carrier staff. They are not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we post the updated version at this address and change the “Last updated” date at the top. For material changes that affect what the driver app collects or how long it is kept, we also give notice in the app before the change takes effect, and where consent is required we ask for it again.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
